AiP has successfully deployed its dedicated sixth-form retail brand, Go Eat, at Light Hall School at the start of September 2025. This saw the transformation of a previously under-utilised sixth-form catering space into a vibrant, high-street inspired destination, driving significant improvements in pupil participation rates, average spend and overall commercial performance.
Light Hall School’s original sixth-form space was outdated and failing to attract pupils, with approximately 40 pupils regularly using the offer. In the autumn term, our onsite staff supported by our culinary team delivered a full Go Eat refurbishment, including a complete redesign of the space, installation of new equipment to support the new menus, and the introduction of the full Go Eat retail and beverage offer.

BEFORE – an uninviting space with a dated look and feel
AFTER – (pre-launch day) – a bright, fun and professional café environment that meets the expectations of today’s generation

Return on investment
Across September–November 2025, our catering team closely monitored the impact of the new sixth form café on sales and the pupil experience. They were delighted to see that their efforts and commitment to implementing the new Go Eat offer delivered exceptional sales growth at Light Hall’s sixth form café:
- Average Spend Per Head increased by 25%
- Daily footfall increased to 100 pupils using the café daily
- Increase engagement from staff who are enjoying the new offer, especially the hot beverage range!
Our client and pupils are delighted to have a new space they can be proud of, and the school now plan to feature the Go Eat café in their school marketing materials as a tool to attract and recruit sixth formers to their school. As a result of the new café we are experience more pupils (and staff) using the café as ‘dwell’ space for socialising, meeting and studying which is positively impacting pupil wellbeing.
