All of us at AiP are incredibly proud of Steve Lowe for his amazing win at the recent All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) Excellence in School Food Awards. Steve, the Executive Chef at King Edward VI Academy Trust (KEVIAT), was adjudged the winner of the School Food Awards for the Individual Category. An accomplishment that is absolutely well-deserved for the passion, commitment, and impact that Steve brings to KEVIAT every day.
The All Party Parliamentary Group Excellence in School Food Awards exist to recognise and celebrate individual commitment to school food, honouring innovative work. The Association for Public Service Excellence celebrates outstanding local councils and organisations that have demonstrated a positive impact on the current challenges facing the school catering sector. The awards provide participating authorities with an opportunity to showcase their expertise, alongside the results that they have achieved.
This year’s awards were presented across three distinct categories: Groups, Individuals and Schools. Presenting the Individual Award was MP Amanda Hack, who commended the impact that Steve has had on his community. Additionally, it was a huge honour for Steve’s local MP, Taiwo Owatemi, to provide a personal letter of endorsement during the nomination stage of the awards. Recognition like this reflects the amount of dedication to social value that Steve commits to every day.
What an incredible achievement. Congratulations, Steve.
