Zoo Census Day

Our Zoo Census Day was a ROARing success, encouraging engagement with school meals while creating experiences for pupils to have fun, learn about animals, and build exciting, cherished moments around mealtimes. Our catering teams and teachers were also able to get involved and create a fun-filled event, boosting engagement for school meals and bringing the community together.

School dining halls became lively, animal-themed environments, inspired by the sights of a day spent at the zoo. Pupils mixed play with animal-inspired dishes that made lunchtimes more memorable. Our kitchen teams got involved in the jungle spirit through dressing up and even making a sweet treat animal enclosure.

On the zoo-themed menu, the pupils enjoyed dishes like turtle shell tacos, parrot’s rainbow vegetables, elephant trunk fries, monkey cookies, and beautiful fruit flowers! A delicious feast combined with colourful decorations and fun fact adventures, taking a wild twist on school lunches.

A huge thank you to our teams across AiP schools for making moments like this possible. Catch a glimpse of the festivities below.
