We recently celebrated ‘National School Meals Week’, a special time to recognise the value of nutritious school meals and the wonderful teams who create them for our pupils.
During the week, pupils were engaged in a mix of fun, food-focused activities that encouraged them to explore themes like healthy eating, sustainability, and the simple joy of being introduced to new food ingredients.
The Discovery Table was a big hit, giving pupils the chance to touch, smell, and taste different ingredients while picking up fun fruit and vegetable facts along the way.
Our Eat the Rainbow challenge brought plenty of colour into the classroom, and our take-home leaflets ensured that families could bring the learning into their homes. Parents received our digital recipe book, giving them the opportunity to try easy, tasty dishes at home with their children.
Most importantly, the week helped pupils build confidence around food. They learned about the Eatwell Guide in a friendly way, discovered new flavours, and played an active part in their own food education.
It was a joyful, hands-on celebration of good food in schools and a lovely reminder of how small daily experiences can help inspire healthier choices for life.

These initiatives strengthen the connection between school, home, and the dining experience, making mealtimes more inclusive, more enjoyable, and more meaningful for every child.
Take a look at some of the highlights from our activities.
