At AiP, it’s the passion, commitment, and hard work of our people that make a difference in schools every day. That’s why we were delighted to see members of our State School teams recognised at this year’s Spirit of Sodexo Awards.

Held at Emirates Old Trafford, the 2026 awards brought together more than 400 colleagues from across the UK and Ireland to celebrate individuals and teams who are making a meaningful impact. The event recognised those who go above and beyond to support their communities, deliver exceptional service, and create positive change through innovation, collaboration, and creativity.

This year, more than 600 nominations were submitted across 15 award categories, including Behind-the-Scenes Star, Outstanding Service Excellence (Individual and Team), Team of the Year, Growth & Innovation, Sustainability Champion, Community Impact, and Rising Star. Each category showcases the talent, dedication, and achievements of colleagues across Sodexo’s diverse services.

What Are the Spirit of Sodexo Awards?

The Spirit of Sodexo Awards are a key part of Sodexo UK & Ireland’s employee recognition programme, celebrating colleagues and teams who embody Sodexo’s values through outstanding service, innovation, teamwork, and community impact.

The annual event brings people together from across the business to recognise the dedication and passion that help create better everyday experiences for clients, consumers, and local communities.

A Culture of Recognition

The Spirit of Sodexo Awards highlight Sodexo’s commitment to recognising and celebrating the contributions of its people. The programme reflects the belief that colleagues should feel valued, supported, and appreciated throughout their careers.

At AiP, recognising great work is an important part of our culture. Whether through Long Service Recognition certificates or celebrating employee achievements, we are proud to acknowledge the individuals who make our business such a positive place to work.

At its heart, the awards celebrate the people who make a real difference every day, something that strongly reflects our own values at Alliance in Partnership.

Recognising Our School Team Nominees

Ahead of the awards ceremony, we were proud to celebrate four colleagues who were nominated and shortlisted: Jonathan Keitch, Annabella Mendes from Oasis Arena, Fiona Carter, and Steven Lowe from KEVIAT.

Their nominations are a testament to the care, dedication, and positivity they bring to their schools, teams, and wider communities. Each of them consistently goes the extra mile to support those around them and help create positive experiences for pupils and staff alike.

Celebrating Our Teams

Recognising achievements and celebrating success plays an important role in creating positive workplaces and delivering the best possible experiences for schools and pupils.

We are incredibly proud to have had our colleagues representing AiP at such a prestigious event and would like to congratulate Jonathan, Annabella, Fiona, and Steven once again on this well-deserved achievement. Their nominations reflect the outstanding contribution they make every day, and we are delighted to celebrate their success.
